Privacy

Alter Games is a small site for playing games with friends and family. This page says what we keep and why.

What we keep

• Your sign-in. Clerk runs sign-in for us. It holds your email address and, if you use Google, your Google name. We never see your password.
• Your username and name, which other players see.
• Your games: the moves, scores and who played whom.
• Notification settings. If you turn on turn alerts, we keep the address your browser gives us for sending them. It contains nothing about you.

What we don't do

• We don't sell or share your information.
• We don't show ads or use advertising trackers.
• We don't email you. Turn alerts are notifications you choose to turn on, and you can turn them off.

Deleting your account

Open Account at the top of any page, then Manage account, then Delete account. We then remove your username, name, notification settings and blocks. Games you were still playing end, and the other player wins. Finished games stay for the other player, with you shown as “Deleted player”.
